Dr. Arroyo, CrowdRx’s Lead Combat Sports Physician, has a passion for event medicine and combat sports. For the last several years, he has served at many events as a ring-side physician and as a member of the New York State Athletic Commission for major MMA, boxing, and kickboxing events.

Dr. Arroyo is also the Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, the hospital of his birth, in Brooklyn, New York. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the topic of point-of-care ultrasound and has authored multiple articles and textbooks on the subject.

Dr. Arroyo completed his pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the Schneider Children’s Hospital Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and an Ultrasound Fellowship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Prior to that, he completed his pediatric residency at the North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Arroyo graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in psychology from St. Francis College, and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
