This year, CrowdRx was selected as the recipient of the award for its innovative Operational Medical Unit (OMU), a state-of-the-art mobile medical facility designed to provide emergency medical care and support at large-scale events.
Working closely with the State of New York and the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games’ Chief Medical Officer, CrowdRx and GMR coordinated dedicated, on-site ambulance coverage for all venues within the games. Our GMR ambulance corps covered over 2,500 athletes and coaches representing 600+ Universities from over 50 countries.
When Ironman called, we answered. With over 1,500 participants in the IRONMAN Event and participants in the IRONMAN Eagleman 70.3 race, it was critical that our medical support was both responsive and available throughout the course with a potential high volume of medical events. Led by our expert staff of doctors, our team of highly trained medical support personnel was on-site before the event strategically planning and preparing for our unique brand of coverage. Our Board-Certified emergency physicians along with RNs, Paramedics and EMTs were deployed to ensure the safety and well-being of both the participants and spectators. CrowdRx worked with IRONMAN top-level leadership, as well as local and regional authorities, to execute a compliant strategy and to plan for the unexpected.
Fans may not have noticed our presence when attending the Big Game – but that’s how we like it. Covering 70,000 plus in attendance, hundreds of stadium, league and operations staff, as well as the participants is all in a day’s work for CrowdRx.
